Can You Really Make a Living Without Leaving Your House?

Yes you can…I’ve seen and chatted with people enjoying the comfort of their homes and still have managed to earn a living. Most of them admitted that they are earning more now working at home than when working with someone. Home-based business, it is everyone’s dream…to be your own boss and no longer tied in the regular 8-5 jobs.

Choose your home-based career. What is your passion? What idea you have? Most importantly, what would you like to do? What are your current interests? Isn’t it rewarding that you get to do what you want to do and get paid for it?

In my case I am always interested in web publishing and designing. And I am inspired to know that there are people who create web pages at home and earn from it through marketing and advertising. I still have a lot to learn about Internet Marketing and Advertising, it requires a lot or research, experimentation and studying. But like in any other business you have to learn and study the business you want to get into. The good part of it is that it’s your own business. You’re doing it for you; not for the person who signs your paycheck.

It is a major decision to start a home-based business. Can I really make a living without leaving my house? Yes I can…. and I am taking the first step to be my own boss…

My Discovery of Internet Marketing

I was busy all these years working for a multinational company and later on realized I contributed a lot for the benefit of the company but not for myself. When finally, a major turning point in my life happened, it’s a defining point where I have to convert this temporary defeat into stepping stones for new opportunities. I call it temporary defeat because before success comes in any man’s life, he is sure to meet with much temporary defeat and some failures. You are only defeated when defeat has been accepted as a reality.

I realized there are a lot of opportunities outside that multinational company waiting for me to discover. I was able to connect with old friends again and meet new friends. Those old and new friends opened the doors for new opportunities to explore…“Internet Marketing.” After almost 10 years I was able to get back to the things I love to do, and that’s web designing. I made my presence online again and it was a shock to know that those days where people use the internet for personal reasons, just surfing for information, connecting with friends, reading news etc. are all gone…. Internet is now so powerful that people can actually make a living out of it. Gee, where was I all those years….

When I heard about this “Internet Marketing” from a new friend, I am so excited and enthusiastic to venture into this new discovery. I give myself 2 weeks to arrange all the things I need to get started into this new opportunity. It’s important that if you are passionate about something you act on it immediately and don’t just think about it…Dreams are important but you have to convert dreams into its physical counterpart. I immediately get my PC back into working condition again (my PC was idle for years) and arrange for an internet connection at home.

I know there are a lot of things that I have to learn about this “Internet Marketing” but what’s important is that I have the will and the enthusiasm to succeed in this new discovery and there are people who are willing to help and teach me. I am testing the waters now and learning to swim to reach my goal.

To succeed is not an easy feat. I know success is not going to come overnight. It requires patience, passion, faith, learning and lots of experimentation. It is estimated that only a fraction of a percent of the people involved in “Internet Marketing” can make a decent income out it. Still, like all good things it’s worth a shot.

The People you meet…

Throughout life you will meet many different people, all with different characters, responsibilities and interests. You will meet nice and friendly people, those you want to keep and became your long life friends. In this life, I happen to be blessed with a lot of good friends, the kind of people I treasure and love. They are the true demonstration of what was written in the Bible in Proverbs17:17

“A true friend loves at all times.”

Unfortunately, life is not a bed of roses…You will also come across with mean people that you would want to avoid but somehow these people have managed to get into you at all cause because of the single fact that “they are mean.” I also happen to meet the two meanest people in this life…the kind of people that would be happy on criticizing on others that minding their own business. They are usually more into being mean and devilish than being nice and polite. Sometimes I find it hard to understand why there are people who are sooooo mean and hostile. They are beyond reason, but somehow I finally came in to realization that it’s the way they are and it’s their nature.

But life in general is still beautiful. With the exception of these two people, I still believe that the world is still filled with nice and kind people. As we travel though life we will meet these nice people and there’s no other way but to be nice in return…as the golden rule says…”Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”..
